What to do and see in the area The immediate countryside is excellent for walking and cycling. With its hill forts, castles and visitor centres, the Clun Valley has attractions for people of all ages. Nearby are the pretty and historical towns of Bishops Castle, Knighton and Presteigne. The county town of Shrewsbury is within easy reach as is Ludlow-centre of gastronomic excellence.
